CYLINDER PLATING by MONGOOSE MACHINE
Repairing of Nikasil*, Composite and Chrome Style Cylinders.
The NSC (nickel, silicon carbide composite coating) process restores worn and damaged aluminum cylinders back to new condition. NSC plating technology involves repairing any damage, precision machining, then applying our own ceramic composite coating. The resulting surface consists of ultra-hard silicon carbide particles fixed in a supportive nickel matrix. The coating is then machined using diamond tools to extremely high precision, including the chamfering of all port edges.
The unique nickel, silicon carbide composite coating used in the Mongoose NSC process is superior to earlier technology such as chromium or electrofusion coatings.
The final product is a super tough layer that provides reliable and hardwearing armour for your cylinder.
